I constantly here people saying they cant find people. But I say you get the people you deserve. To attract the better people, first you must become a better leader. Leaders are always working on themselves and refining their skills. They lead by example.
Leaders are strong, but they are not rude. People mistake strength for ‘telling it how it is’. Well mostly people are being rude. Of course criticisms need to be made, and I say, always say it (what’s on your mind) but say it nicely.
Leaders are kind. But not weak. Kindness is telling some one the truth. kindness is discipline. Kindness is credit where credit is due.
Be brave but not a tyrant. Brave people lead from the front. Brave people tackle the problems head on. A brave farmer is up at 5am in wind and rain. If you want your people to be brave, first they must see you being brave.
Be humble. You only get to where you are through the efforts of your people, and those around you. Don’t be timid, otherwise you’ll do nothing.
Be proud but not arrogant. Taking pride in your work means you take the time and do the extra work required for the work to stand out and be highly regarded.
Be humorous. Learn how to fun with being silly and stupid. There is a time for lighteness, and a sign of a productive team is laughter. And so are results.
Accept life as it is. The truth will set you free. Leaders deal in the truth and then do something about it.
Above all leaders have, and exercise wisdom. You need wisdom to discern the differences between the qualities I just mentioned. Wisdom to know when to apply which qualities when.
We all need more leaders in life. Leaders in an organisation aren’t necessarily the ones with CEO before their names. If you stand and look across the floor you will recognise leaders. By they act, carry themselves and talk.
More leadership is required, not only at work, but at home, and in the community. Remember everything effects everything else.

@ Dawn: Thanks. I didn’t design it myself, I wouldn’t know how. It was a process of a graphic designer and a web developer. I have some plans for the future, but they will be late next year I’d say. Please come back and share the link to your site when you get it set up.
